While hiring a 4×4 rental car for a self drive safari in East Africa offers you the peace and flexibility totravel across all borders, at your own pace from Nairobi, with our one way car rental Service in East Africa, there are a number of requirements which each client must posses, before we handover our cars for hire within East Africa which includes:
Valid National Passport Or Identity Cards

A Valid National Passport is required in order to prove the ideal Identity of the hirer, as well as his/her age. The company will remain with a copy of each passport presented for records and also clients’ safety within the countries’ they will be traveling(across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda & Burundi). Self Drive Kenya, also advises its clients to carry a valid passport which is at least 6 months prior to the expiry date.
Valid National Driving License

Which driving License Should I carry? Although we prefer that all customers must present valid National Driving License, that bears the client’s rightful name’s (like in the passport), and the photograph, we also advise that they can carry international driving licenses so as to avoid a few interruptions from police officers enroute, during their self-drive or guided safaris.
