5 Days Kenya Safari to Samburu, Olpejeta & Lake Naivasha
Beginning with Samburu National Park, a semi-arid park to the North of Equator and a home to the Big 5 animals. The Elephants converge and migrate by crossing the Brown River Ewaso Nyiro River.
While OlPejeta is known for its only 2 remaining White Northern Rhinoceros in the World. Also it´s the Chimpanzees Sanctuary.
Lake Naivasha allows you to share the same habitat with Hippopotamus as you watch the African Fish Eagle fishing. Hells Gate with Cycling and hiking the Gorge leave you with best memories.
Detailed Itinerary For 5 Days Kenya Safari to Samburu, Olpejeta and Lake Naivasha
Day 1: Transfer to Samburu National Park
Early in the morning , you will be transferred Northwards by a self drive Kenya driver guide to Samburu Game Reserve. Enroute you will drive through the green vegetation comprising of Mangoes, Pineapples, Avocados, Coffee, Roses, Wheat and Tea.
You will have the opportunity to cross the equator line, as you ascend via Mount Kenya, then later on descend to Samburu, where you will arrive in the afternoon for lunch, followed by along rest.
At 16:00hrs, head for the evening game drive to look for lions, Grevy Zebras, Giraffe Antelope and Somali Ostrich among others, after which you will return for dinner and an overnight rest.
Day 2: Full Day Exploration
At 6:30 am, you will (together with picnic lunch) leave with the driver for a full day game drive so that to catch up with the cats like Lions, Leopards among others while they are still active.
Other common animals to encounter include: Warthogs, Elephants especially at the shores of the brown Ewaso Nyiro River, Zebras, Giraffes, the Somali ostriches and more.
Dinner and overnight rest at your accommodation.
Day 3: Transfer to Olpegeta Conservancy.
Wake up early for breakfast, and by 6:30 am , you will proceed to the wide field of Serengeti to look for more animals, that you might have missed during the previous game drives.
Return to the lodge at 9:00am for the mid morning breakfast, thereafter proceed to Olpegeta Conservancy.
Lunch will be enroute (in Nayuki town). You will arrive at Serena Sweet Water Camp, for check in, followed a delicious lunch.
At 1500hrs, embark on your drive to see the only 2 world’s last remaining White Rhinos, as well as the chimpanzee, in the Sweet Waters.
Return for dinner at the accommodation, followed by an overnight.
Day 4: Morning game drive – Transfer to Lake Naivasha
Early in the morning instantly after breakfast, look for Black Rhinoceros, Buffaloes, stripped Hyenas, Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Waterbuck, Warthogs, Giraffes, among others.
Return to the Lodge for mid-morning breakfast, then later proceed to Lake Naivasha/Hells gate.
Enroute, you will stop at Thompson’s Water Fall, that comprises of Maize, Potatoes and Vegetables farms. In the evening, go for Cycling in Hells Gate. Enjoy the ride as you watch common game like Zebras, Maasai Giraffes, Coke Hartebeests and Warthogs, Buffaloes. Also hike the Great Gorge. Be back to the Lodge at 1800hrs.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha.
After breakfast, leave for the Boat cruise in the Fresh waters of Lake Naivasha, so as to enjoy sharing the same habitat with the Hippopotamus as you capture memorable photos.
Return to the Lodge to check out and proceed to Nairobi with lunch on the way. Arrive to your residence or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
