Day 01: Drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve
Embark on your self-drive adventure in a 4×4 car with a rooftop tent, heading towards the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. As you leave Nairobi, you will pass through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley with plenty of opportunities for scenic stops and photography. Upon reaching the reserve by late afternoon, set up your camp at a designated campsite, then enjoy an exciting evening game drive. 
Dinner will be served at the campsite, where you will spend the night in your rooftop tent.
Day 02: Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara
After breakfast, head out for a full day of game viewing in the Masai Mara. The reserve is known for its rich biodiversity, including the Big Five—elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, and rhino—alongside zebras, giraffes, antelopes, hyenas, and much more. Over 350 bird species also call this reserve home. Return to your campsite for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay under the stars.
Day 03: Another Full Day of Exploration in Masai Mara
Today, you will have another full day to explore the vast Mara plains. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, allowing ample time to encounter the wildlife that thrives in this iconic reserve. All meals will be prepared and served at your campsite, providing a relaxing experience at the end of a busy day in the wild.
Day 04: Early Morning Game Drive & Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, home to thousands of flamingos and other bird species. The park also provides a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos, along with a variety of small game, such as waterbucks, impalas, gazelles, and buffaloes. After a day of game viewing, set up your camp and enjoy dinner at the campsite.
Day 05: Depart for Samburu Game Reserve
After breakfast, continue your self-drive journey towards Samburu Game Reserve. As you drive through the Kikuyu farmlands, you’ll pass coffee and pineapple plantations, then cross the equator, where you can take part in the “Equator Ceremony.” As you approach the semi-arid landscape of Samburu, stop for lunch along the way. Upon arrival in Samburu, embark on a short game drive to your campsite. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in your rooftop tent under the African sky.
Day 06: Full Day Game Drive in Samburu
Wake up early for a thrilling game drive in Samburu Reserve. Known for its unique wildlife, the reserve is home to the “Samburu Special Five,” including the reticulated giraffe, Grevy zebra, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and the gerenuk antelope. You’ll also have a chance to spot lions, leopards, elephants, and cheetahs. All meals will be served at the campsite, where you’ll rest for the night.
Day 07: Early Morning Game Drive & Return to Nairobi
Enjoy one last early morning game drive before breakfast, capturing the peaceful morning moments of Samburu’s wildlife. After breakfast at the campsite, start your journey back to Nairobi, with a picnic lunch en route. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will either be transferred to the airport or have the option to explore the city on an optional excursion before your final drop-off at the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable safari experience.
