Day 1: Pick up & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The Driver Guide from Self drive Kenya will pick you from Entebbe international airport depending on the flight time. You will then be transferred to southwestern Uganda where you will be driven along lake Mburo national park-known for wildlife safaris. The drive from to Bwindi may take approximately 8 hours depending on the section where gorilla trekking is to be done. Lunch will be En-route, after which you will proceed to Bwindi, arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp/Rushaga Gorilla Camp / Gorilla Mist Camp.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable
After Morning breakfast, you will join other trekkers at the park headquarters for gorilla trekking and tracking briefing, about the rules and regulations.
With the help of the gorilla trekking ranger guides, you will set off for gorilla trekking through the spectacular tropical rain forest. Gorilla trekking may take aproximately 30 minutes to 6 hours, and upon the gorilla group encounter, you will be allowed to spend at most 1 hour in their presence. You will then return to the park headquarters to pick up your gorilla trekking certificate after the gorilla trekking experience. It is from this moment that you will return to your lodge for lunch.
However, if you still have anough time in the afternoon, then you can opt for a cultural retreat from the local communities like the Batwa, otherwise have a nature walk in the nearby forests next to your lodge.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala
After having your breakfast, Return to Kampala or Entebbe to catch up with your scheduled flight, as pass through the beautiful countryside of Western Uganda with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch. You will be dropped at the airport or your Hotel which marks the end of your 3 Days gorilla safari.
