This 3 days Uganda Gorilla habituation safari experience tour takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable National park for a two nights self drive safari and an inclusive one day Gorilla Habituation experience.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is undoubtedly a home that protects half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.
The park is famous for gorilla trekking, although Gorilla habituation experience was introduced in 2014. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the only destination in Uganda where Gorilla habituation experience takes especially in the Rushaga sector.
Gorilla habituation experience tour allows clients to spend more time with gorillas, except for gorilla trekking which is only restricted to at most 1 hour.
The gorilla habituation experience with gorillas takes at most 4 hours of staying up close, as each gorilla habituation experience permit costs $1500 USD.

Detailed Itinerary of the 3 days gorilla habituation experience tour
Day 1: Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On this day, you will be picked by our Self Drive Kenya driver guide, who will brief you about your 3 days gorilla habituation experience tour. He will then transfer you to the Southern Sector-Rushaga region of Bwindi Impenetrable National park, with stop overs at the equator and lunch break in Mbarara. Dinner and overnight at your preferred lodge.
Meal Plan: Lunch & Dinner at Rushaga Gorilla Camp or Rushaga Gorilla Haven.
Day 2: Gorilla Habituation Experience tour
You will be transferred to the park headquarters for gorilla habituation briefing, about the do’s and don’ts with the gorillas.
After the briefing, you will embark on your gorilla habituation experience, along with the researchers and guides. Upon encounter, You will spend 4 hours in the presence of the gorillas, after which you will return to your lodge for a dinner and an overnight sleep.
However, during your search for gorillas, you may encounter other primates, birds and animals. Besides gorilla habituation, you may also opt for other activities such as:- community cultural tour, hiking, Mountain biking among others
Day 3: Transfer from Bwindi Impenetrable to Kampala:
After a morning breakfast, return to Kampala with great memories and moments spent with the fascinating endangered mountain Gorillas. You will have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch. Drop-off to the airport or your respective accommodation .
