A Detailed 7 Days Kenya Car rental with driver safari adventure
Day 1 – Tsavo East National Park
Your driver/guide from Natural World Kenya Safari will collect you from your Diani Beach resort and head down the Mombasa-Nairobi highway towards Tsavo East National Park, Kenya’s largest game reserve. Before long, you’ll enter through the Tsavo gate and absorb the park’s distinctive rugged terrain.
Tsavo East hosts more than 700 of the legendary Tsavo lions, once celebrated for their prowess as formidable hunters. On your initial game drives, you will be on the lookout for buffalo, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, zebra, gazelle, and many other species.
This evening, you will spend the night in the park at the lodge or tented camp you prefer.
Day 2: Transfer To Amboseli National Park
We will rise with the sun to experience the initial awakenings of nature during an early morning game drive. Next, we will leave Tsavo and head towards Amboseli National Park, nestled beneath the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa.
While Amboseli may not be as vast as Tsavo, its more compact size offers numerous chances to observe its plentiful wildlife, particularly the elephants. The park is recognized as one of the premier locations in Africa for observing free-ranging elephants. In addition, there is a rich variety of wildlife present, along with numerous bird species. Additionally, there are stunning views of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Day 3 – Transfer To Lake Naivasha
Another early morning awaits us, promising an African sunrise and the potential sight of Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak, should the clouds part. Following breakfast, we will leave Amboseli with one last game drive.
We will travel through the magnificent Rift Valley and pause in the capital, Nairobi, for lunch before continuing our journey to Lake Naivasha. The lake in this area stands as the highest in the Rift Valley, surrounded by cacti and olive trees. We will embark on a water safari, searching for giraffes and zebras along the shoreline while smoothly gliding past nearby hippos in the lake.
Day 4 – Lake Naivasha, Hell’s Gate, Lake Nakuru Excursion
From Lake Naivasha, it’s a short journey to Hell’s Gate National Park, where we’ll embark on a bicycle safari, riding alongside zebras, giraffes, impalas, and buffalo, set against the backdrop of the towering escarpments. Afterward, we will indulge in a delightful bonus walking safari at the nearby Crescent Island.
The journey continues with just a one-hour drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, where you can witness the stunning acacia forest, along with Rothschild’s giraffes, rhinos, lions, warthogs, and even leopards. The park is renowned for its diverse birdlife, featuring pelicans and flamingos.
Day 5 – Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve
We will conclude our Lake Nakuru experience with an early morning game drive as we leave the park. We are now heading towards one of the most renowned parks in Kenya – Masai Mara National Reserve.
The Mara presents a stunning image of Africa, characterized by its sweeping savannahs, iconic acacia trees, and vast migrations of zebras and wildebeests. Here, one can find an abundance of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and gazelles, along with hyenas, jackals, buffalo, and more.
We will reach this location in time for some afternoon game drives to spark your interest, as this marks the start of our 3-day adventure in the park.
Day 6 – Masai Mara National Reserve
This promises to be an exhilarating day filled with endless game drives across the expansive grasslands of the Mara. The park is home to Africa’s “Big Five,” and we will be keeping an eye out for them.

We will have lunch by the Mara River and during the migration season (July – October), we will witness the crossing of thousands of zebras and wildebeests… and the crocodiles lurking in the murky waters.
Day 7 – Depart For Nairobi
Following breakfast, we will leave the park for one last game drive before heading to Nairobi.
In Nairobi, you can choose between an evening flight to Mombasa or a modern train ride back to the coast. As you return to your resort, you can wash away the “safari dust” while reminiscing about your adventures in Kenya’s most remarkable parks.
