Kibale Forest national Park is located in western Uganda.it is 766 square kilometers size and is also known as the primate capital of the world. Despite having primarily moist evergreen forest, it contains a diverse array of landscapes.
Kibale is one of the last remaining expanses to contain both the lowland and montane forests . Like Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi National park, Kibale Forest National park is also famous for Chimpanzee tracking. It is an important eco-tourism since it’s a popular destination for its habituated chimpanzees and twelve other species of primates like black and white Colobus monkeys, chimpanzees, red Colobus, etc.
The primates are very common and many of these species of primates persist in the less disturbed areas of the forest in their natural habitat. The two major tribes around the park are the batooro and bakiga who use the park for fuel and food.
