Day 1: Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Your safari begins when you arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO). A Self Drive Kenya representative along with the driver will meet you at the airport and bring you to your hotel for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: The Boma Nairobi

Day 2: Discover Nairobi.

Begin by visiting the Karen Blixen Museum, located at the foot of the Ngong hills, to learn about her works and the time she spent in Kenya. Then visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to see a newborn elephant play in the mud and eat. After that, visit the Giraffe Center for an up-close experience feeding giraffes and possibly a giraffe kiss. The organization is a haven for the endangered Rothchild’s giraffe. The journey will conclude with a visit to a craft center, where women create wonderful crafts and ceramic art. Dinner and overnight as described above.

Day 3: Transfer to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, hop into the Pop up Land cruiser for a drive to the stunning Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Sit back & relax while enjoy the beauty of nature as you drive to this location, stopping at the Equator Monument for photos and souvenir buying. After checking in, go for an evening walk or rest at the lodge.

Day 4: Game Drive and Chimpanzee Experience.

Head for a game drive in the morning and enjoy seeing the various animals in this lovely natural area. Behind the scenes at the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, learn about the chimps and their lives. Ol Pejeta is an outstanding conservation initiative that aims to provide a sanctuary for primates, particularly chimps and rhinos, while also generating revenue through tourists. Lunch, supper, and an overnight stay are as described above.

Day 5: Transfer to the Samburu National Reserve

Leave Ol Pejeta for the stunning Samburu National Reserve, located north of Ol Pejeta. Upon arrival, eat lunch and then go on an afternoon game drive. Look for African leopards, giraffes, lions, elephants, cape buffaloes, impalas, water bucks, warthogs, Grant’s gazelle, olive baboons, and a variety of birds.

Day 6: Whole Days Game Drive in Samburu national Reserve

Spend the day on a game drive through Samburu National Reserve. The game drives will allow you to see species such as the big five, zebras, beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, giraffes, and waterbucks, as well as breathtaking landscapes. Return to the lodge later in the evening and relax with a glass of wine over supper while reminiscing about the day’s sights. Lunch, supper, and an overnight stay are as described above.

Day 7 and 8: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park.

After an early breakfast, head to Lake Nakuru with a packed lunch for a full-day tour of the park. This lake is home to flocks of greater and lesser flamingos, which become pink, earning it the nickname “pink lake.” It is also home to endangered black and white rhinos, big cats, and other species, with the exception of elephants. Accommodation options include Lake Nakuru Lodge or Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge.

Day 9: Visit Hells Gate National Park.

Transfer to Hells Gate National Park and experience the park with a nature walk or a bike safari. Enjoy the diverse fauna and landscape as you tour this park with vistas straight out of The Lion King. Visit the geothermal plants and take a swim. Visit the Maasai Mara community center in the park to learn more about the Maasai people and help preserve it. Accommodation: Chui Lodge or Enashipai Resort.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Naivasha.

A full day in Naivasha, with a break in the afternoon for a boat excursion. Dinner and stay at Lake Naivasha Resort or Fish Eagle Inn. At an additional expense, guests can take a boat excursion on Lake Naivasha. Return to the lodge in the evening. Accommodation: Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp or Chui Lodge.

Day 11: Transfer to Maasai Mara. 

Maasai Mara is a 5- to 6-hour trip, depending on your arrival time. Lunch en route, then travel to the park, arriving late afternoon, relax, have dinner, and spend the night at Mara Serena Safari Lodge or Maji Moto Eco Camp 

Day 12 and 13: Full-day game drives in Maasai Mara.

Full-day game drives in the Maasai Mara, including a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing on with the game drive. Return late in the evening to the lodge for dinner and a night’s stay.

Day 14: Transfer to Nairobi.

Breakfast early in the morning, followed by a short game drive if time permits. Depart Masai Mara and drive back to Nairobi via the Mombasa-Nairobi highway. Views of Kenyan countryside and cities along the road. Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon or evening. Check into your accommodation and relax. Accommodation: The Boma Nairobi.

Day 15: Transfer to the Amboseli National Park

Depart in the morning and travel southwards to Namanga, Kenya’s border with Tanzania, arriving in Amboseli in  time for lunch. After lunch, head into Amboseli National Park, where you might spot some wildlife en route to the campsite. Amboseli National Park is a popular wildlife park in Kenya. Amboseli National Park is sometimes referred to as “The Home of Elephants,” and it is home to some of the greatest elephant populations. The Game Park also has large herds of Zebras, Wildebeests, Giraffes, Buffalos, Hippos, and Antelope. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, and a variety of plain game animals can all be found in Amboseli. Amboseli Serena Lodge, Ol Tukai Lodge, and Tortills Camp all offer dinner and overnight stays.

Day 16: Full day of game driving in Amboseli National Park.

Breakfast early, followed by a picnic lunch in the bush, as it will be a busy day of game driving. Amboseli National Park is situated at the foot slopes of Africa’s highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro. The mountain’s snows provide a gorgeous backdrop to one of Kenya’s most popular spectacular wildlife shows, featuring lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo, and a variety of plains species, making Kenya’s most sought-after photographer’s paradise. Dinner and overnight stay at the aforementioned lodge.

Day 17 and 18: Transfer to Tsavo West.

After leaving Amboseli, you will drive for around 3 hours to Tsavo West National Park, which is famed for its rough and spectacular landscapes, including lava flows, hills, and clear springs. During these two days, you can visit attractions like Mzima Springs, where you can witness hippos and crocodiles through an underwater viewing chamber. Elephants, leopards, buffalo, and the rare black rhino can all be seen during game drives at the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary. Roaring Rocks and Poacher’s Lookout offer panoramic vistas. Tsavo West’s calm setting and less tourists make it an ideal location for undisturbed animal viewing. Overnight stay at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge or Ngulia Safari Lodge.

Day 19: Transfer to Tsavo East.

You will travel to Tsavo East National Park, a large open grassland known for its stunning red-soil elephants and diverse animals. The drive from Tsavo West takes around three hours, passing across the old Man-Eaters Bridge, a notable landmark. Over the course of two days, you’ll go on game drives to see lions, cheetahs, giraffes, hippos along the Galana River, and crocodiles. Other scenic sights are Lugard Falls and Aruba Dam, which provide excellent birdwatching opportunities in quiet surroundings. Tsavo East’s vast grasslands and stunning vistas make for an unforgettable African safari experience. Day 20: Transfer to Diani Beach from Mombasa.

Depart early from Tsavo East for the coast, which takes roughly 6 -7 hours to reach Diani Beach. Following the dusty safari trails, you will be greeted by the contrast of coastal paradise. Diani is Kenya’s most popular beach location, with smooth white sand, swaying palm trees, and bright blue seas in the Indian Ocean. Check into your beach resort and unwind for the remainder of the day, possibly with a walk along the beach or a swim in the warm ocean. Day 21 and 23: Relaxation at Diani Beach.

Spend three days relaxing and enjoying the benefits of Diani Beach. You can simply relax at your resort, soak up the sun, and cool down in the ocean or the hotel pool. Diani provides a variety of aquatic sports, including snorkeling, scuba diving at coral reefs, deep-sea fishing, and kite surfing. You can also go on a dhow tour, visit the adjacent Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park, or browse local markets and seashore cafes. Day 24: Transfer to Nairobi.

After breakfast, it’s time to start your journey back to Nairobi. An overland drive to Nairobi takes 8 to 10 hours, depending on traffic and pauses. Along the trip, you will pass through villages where you can get refreshments. When you arrive in Nairobi, go straight to a hotel for some refreshments, dinner, and a night’s rest. Day 25: Transfer to Nairobi Airport.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to catch your trip back home.
